Welcome Back Meeting

Raingutter Regatta

Pack 277 started off the 2025-2026 school year with a Welcome Back Meeting this past Sunday. Weather was perfect for Raingutter Regatta, some water balloon games and cookies. We had an awesome turn out - with several new faces coming to see what Scouting is all about.

For Raingutter Regatta, Scouts (and parents) worked to make boats from pool noodles, straws, foam pieces and other craft supplies. We had some friendly competition but it was more about iterating on your design - how to get your boat to go faster, straighter, or simply to not fall over.

After going through our Scout Oath and Scout Law and introducing our leaders, our Scouts were eager to dig into the big box of water balloons! We started getting wet by playing catch - seeing how far we could toss a balloon to a partner. Scouts then had a relay where they had to run to a chair and pop a water balloon over their head or by sitting on it. We rounded out the day with hot potato - if the music stopped and you were holding the water balloon, you had to pop it over your head.
